Privacy policy
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
Itsypad is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Your notes and clipboard history stay on your Mac.
Data we do not collect
Itsypad does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal information (name, email, etc.)
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Crash reports
- Device identifiers
- Location data
- Your notes, clipboard history, or any text content
- Any data to third-party services
Data stored locally
Itsypad stores the following data locally on your Mac:
- Your scratch tab contents and editor state
- Clipboard history (up to 1,000 items)
- App preferences and settings
If you enable iCloud sync, your scratch tabs are synced via Apple's iCloud infrastructure. This data is handled entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Network communication
Itsypad does not make any network requests. The app has no server-side component and no external dependencies. The only network activity is iCloud sync (if enabled), which is handled entirely by macOS.
Third-party services
Itsypad does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app uses only native Apple frameworks.
Open source
Itsypad is open source software. You can review the complete source code on GitHub to verify our privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
